On 16 December 1993, Shenyang Brewery and Hong Kong China Resources Enterprise jointly established Shenyang China Resources Snow Breweries Limited. Snow Beer was born, writing a new chapter in China's beer industry.

China Resources Enterprise partnered with SABMiller to jointly develop the Chinese beer market, with China Resources Enterprise holding 51% and SABMiller holding 49%. SABMiller became one of the shareholders of CR Beer.

Acquired "Sichuan Asia-Pacific Brewery Company Limited" and formed a joint venture, Mianyang China Resources Beer Company Limited. Snow Beer expanded out of the Northeast, laying out its national presence.

The establishment of the Northeast Group was the first step for CR Beer to begin standardised and planned management, gradually forming a national management organisational structure and system, and proposing the strategic goal of "becoming China's number one beer company."

CR Snow Breweries crossed the Yangtze River and began its layout in the Zhejiang region. Subsequently, it acquired 5 factories in Zhejiang and Fujian, built new factories in Ningbo and Wenzhou, and took over the Shanghai Baoshan factory.

Snow Beer's first self-built factory, initiating a model of expansion through self-construction and forming the Guangdong regional company on this basis. Later, Snow acquired Kingway, and Kingway's five factories in Guangdong were merged into Snow.

Initiated the "Snow Beer Brave the World" event, starting an annual marketing campaign that lasted for 13 years. This "three-in-one" marketing model of brand image, brand event, and a product of the same name secured a place for CR Snow in the mid-range product segment.

Held the 2005 strategic seminar (Xiangshan Conference), systematically discussing the development strategy of CR Snow Beer for the first time. CR Snow Breweries officially proposed the strategy for "Snow" to become number one in the country. Established a multi-brand, multi-product portfolio strategy with "Snow" at its core.

With a single-brand sales volume of 1.58 million kilolitres, Snow Beer became the leading beer brand in the country by sales.

Adopting a unique Chinese paper-cut art style, incorporating the natural "snowflake" pattern into the Chinese character for "Snow". Unique Chinese elements such as theatrical face masks, Chinese seals, calligraphy strokes, and ancient architectural window designs appeared on the packaging of different product grades.

With a single-brand sales volume of 6.1 million kilolitres, Snow Beer became the world's leading single-brand by sales volume.

In 2013, both the total sales volume and the Snow brand sales volume of CR Snow Breweries exceeded 10 million kilolitres, leading the national beer industry in sales volume.

China Resources (Holdings) Company Limited ("CRH") spun off all non-beer businesses from the listed company, and the listed company China Resources Enterprise was renamed to a single professional beer company - CR Beer (0291.HK).

Acquired the 49% stake in CR Snow Breweries originally held by SABMiller, making Snow wholly owned by CR Beer.

Building on the culture accumulated over more than two decades of development and combining it with future needs, CR Snow Breweries refined and released its corporate culture system with the core Snow spirit of "Every person is extraordinary, every bottle of beer shines". The system includes mission, vision, and the Snow spirit (employee values, organisational atmosphere, and business philosophy).

CR Beer introduced Heineken as a shareholder for HK$24.35 billion, while also acquiring Heineken's China business. This accelerated CR Snow Breweries' internationalisation and product premiumisation process.

Established China Resources Wine Holdings Co., Ltd. to conduct investment business in non-beer categories such as baijiu, yellow wine, and red wine.

"Li", with its unique brewing process and distinctive product flavour, inherited the cultural connotation of "wine for rituals" and became a milestone in the premiumisation process of the Chinese beer industry.

"Partnered" with Jingzhi, entering the Chinese baijiu market, marking a solid step in Snow's diversified development.

CR Beer, through its wholly-owned subsidiary China Resources Wine, acquired a 55.19% stake in Guizhou Jinsha Jiaojiu Winery Co., Ltd. (貴州金沙窖酒酒業有限公司) for RMB12.3 billion.

CR Beer adjusted its organisational structure, establishing two business divisions, China Resources Snow and China Resources Wine, responsible for the management and operation of the beer and non-beer alcoholic beverage sectors, respectively.
